Hand built ceramic fired multiple times to create unique textured surface

These pieces reference simple pestle and mortar type bowls . They are similar to stone forms I’ve seen on greek and roman archeological sites and those I use daily in my kitchen. I enjoy how the hollow form and surface texture is slightly deceptive and suggests a heavier stone form.
