Ceramic wall panel, mounted on mdf and framed without glass.
Pieces are made with a process related to mono-printing using slips on a textured plaster block and using slab of clay like a sheet of paper. The process creates a unique composition with fine relief detail. Once bisque fired the work is layered with oxide washes and engobes.
Something about the how these pieces looked when framed suggested music and a mid century jazz album cover so I’ve called the series Monochrome Rythyms
